Let's Be Evil (2016) English language

Let’s Be Evil is a contained, futuristic sci-fi horror flick from Martin Owen (L.A. Slasher). It looks slick, spare, and cold as ice – which brings a chilly veneer to the whole thing, adding to the unsettling element of the unknown.Jenny, who’s been tasked with caring for a sick parent in need of expensive meds, is starting a brand-new job as a childcare worker. It’s her first morning, and things are already looking suspicious when she steps into the elevator. The level of security is way beyond what would be expected at a regular nursery. Nonetheless, Jenny proceeds. She finds herself in an underground facility and is introduced to two other chaperones, Tiggs and Darby.Through the HAL-like Arial, the computer entity that controls the establishment, the new employees learn that the facility’s purpose is to contain an experiment to hone the minds of a group of gifted children, using Augmented Reality Glasses (ARG’s). Here’s where the POV and found-footage look of the film comes into play. The first half of the movie is extremely talky. In fact, one creepy kid, Cassandra, is about as far from a human being as you can get while still having a heartbeat. Something about Cassandra conjures demons from Jenny’s past, making Jenny think she’d better get the hell out of Dodge… but is convinced to stay and focus on the paycheck.Jenny, Tiggs, and Darby find themselves locked in and forced on a journey of sheer terror. Cassandra reveals that the children’s minds have been altered and this whole thing is a game called “Let’s Be Evil..
